Two seriously injured in St. Catharines head-on crash

29-year-old man was extricated from the vehicle he was driving before being transported to an out of town hospital with life-threatening injuries

At approximately 12:55 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to the area of Ridgeview Avenue and Bunting Road in the City of St. Catharines following the report of a collision. 

Initial investigation has revealed that three vehicles were involved in a collision on Bunting Road.  

Two vehicles collided head-on which caused a third vehicle to become involved.

One driver, a 46-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries while another driver, a 29-year-old male had to be extracted from their vehicle before being transported to an out of town hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The third driver, a 42-year-old male, was not physically injured in the collision.

Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are continuing to investigate.
