Two arrested in connection to June commercial break-in

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 3 District Street Crime Unit has been actively investigating a break and enter that occurred on June 24, 2023 at a commercial business located on Kennedy Street near Ross Street in the City of Welland.

On July 3, 2023, images of the suspects were released along with an appeal asking members of the public for assistance identifying those involved. As a result of information received, detectives identified the suspects.

Gerry Sergio Pellizzari (31 years) of Niagara Falls was arrested on July 17, 2023 and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
    •    Break and enter commit
    •    Fail to comply with probation order

Stefan Vautour (51 years) of Welland was arrested on July 18, 2023 and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
    •    Break and enter commit

Both Pellizzari and Vautour were held in police custody pending a bail hearing. Vautour was released on July 19, 2023 and is scheduled to attend court on Aug. 18, 2023 at the Welland Courthouse located at 102 East Main St. in the City of Welland. Pellizzari remains in the custody of Ontario Correctional Services.
