Trailer stolen from Niagara on the Lake recovered in Hamilton

Police hope to identify those responsible

On May 4, 2022, officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced an investigation into the theft of a recreational vehicle trailer from Niagara on the Lake.

The initial investigation determined that on May 4, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m. a 36-foot 2022 KZ Sportsman Trailer ($70,000) was stolen from a business on York Road near Queenston Road in Niagara on the Lake.

The investigation was assigned to 2 District detectives. As a result of the investigation the trailer was located at a storage yard on Highway 6 in Hamilton (Freelton). The trailer was recovered without damage and returned to owner.

Detectives have obtained pictures of the suspect vehicle. The truck is believed to be a black, two axel Chevrolet Silverado 2500 or 3500. The vehicle is in good condition and it appears to be a 2010 or newer model year.
