This bank robber was not in a Halloween costume

Police looking for suspect who robbed a TD Bank in St. Catharines on the morning of Oct. 31; he was wearing a black hoodie, brown sunglasses and grey sweatpants

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, 1 District (St. Catharines) Uniform officers were called to the TD Bank on Queen Street in the City of St. Catharines, following the report of a robbery that had just occurred.

The initial investigation has determined that a male suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency and fled the bank.

A NRPS K9 unit attended the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

No one in the bank was physically injured.

The suspect is described as:

  • Older white male
  • Approximately 5’8” tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black hoodie with brown sunglasses and grey sweatpants

This robbery remains under investigation by detectives from the 1 District detective office.  Anyone with information is asked to call 905-688-4111, ext. 1009964.
