Police investigate fatal motorcycle collision in St. Catharines

On Sept. 17, 2021, at approximately 4:48 pm, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the area of Scott Street West and Hiscott Street, in the City of St. Catharines in regards to a collision.

Investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male was operating a White Ford pickup truck and was reversing out of a private driveway onto Scott Street West.  A-32 year-old male was operating a motorcycle westbound on Scott street, when the motorcycle lost control and slid under the pickup truck.

The 32-year-old male was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.

The 36-year-old male did not sustain any physical injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service and the office of the Coroner.
