Officer flagged down by attempted robbery victim

Detectives look to identify suspect in St. Catharines incident

At approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were flagged down by a victim of an attempt robbery in the area of Welland Avenue and Catherine Street in the City of St. Catharines.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival and was not located during a subsequent search of the area. The victim was not injured in the attempt. The Niagara Regional Police Service is asking anyone with information or who might have seen the interaction or suspect to contact police.The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 16-17 years of age, 5'8" tall, with a thin build, wearing dark clothing, a dark baseball cap work straight, and was riding a dark mountain bicycle.
