No charges laid following suspicious person investigation in St. Catharines

Update 2 – July 28, 2021

On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, the subject of this investigation as well as the two females involved contacted detectives after reading the media release.

An investigation was conducted and there are no grounds to lay a criminal charge and the investigation has been concluded.

Original Release – July 27, 2021

On Saturday July 24, 2021, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to Sunset Beach in the City of St. Catharines regarding a suspicious person.

Investigation has revealed that a woman was at the beach with her 3-year-old son when the child was approached by an unknown woman. 

Police are looking to identify the woman along with the two females that were with her at the time.

They are described as:

Woman 1: Middle Eastern, approximately 25-39 years in age, medium build, long black hair which extends to the middle of her back, and wearing a grey t-shirt, and grey jegging shorts.

Friend 1: Middle Eastern, approximately 25-39 years in age, medium build, long black hair tied up in a bun, and wearing a black t-shirt, and black shorts.

Friend 2: Middle Eastern, approximately 25-39 years in age, thin build, fluffy long black hair, tied up in a ponytail, and wearing a tie-dye tank top and jean shorts.
