**Aug. 11 - Addition and Correction**
The address of the TD Canada Trust has been added.
The correct plaza name is the "Town and Country Plaza"
On Aug. 9, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m., 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of a bank robbery in the north end of Niagara Falls.
Officers arrived on scene at the TD Canada Trust Bank at 3643 Portage Road in the Town and Country Plaza. The initial investigation determined that an unknown male entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect was provided a quantity of cash and they ran from the bank south toward Thorold Stone Road.
No weapon was seen, but the suspect had stated he had one.
No one was physically injured as a result of this incident.
The suspect is described as:
- Latino male
- Black curly hair
- Slender build
- 5-5 tall
- Approximately 20 – 25 years
The suspect was wearing:
- Black mask
- Blue “Champion” base ball hat
- Black pants
- Black and grey striped hooded sweater
- Black gloves
- Black shoes
2 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation. Anyone who may information about this incident, or the identity of the suspect is asked to call 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009994.
