Surveillance footage confirmed individuals were entering unlocked parked vehicles with the intent to steal, police say

Niagara detectives are looking for the public's help in identifying suspicious people prowling neighbourhoods in Lincoln and Grimsby armed with firearms.

Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the 8 District (Grimsby / Lincoln / West Lincoln) Criminal Investigative Branch are seeking public assistance to identify suspicious people believed to be armed with a handgun.

Officers responded July 18 to a residential address on Frances Crescent near Northgate Crescent, in Lincoln regarding a belated suspicious person complaint.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with a homeowner who had reviewed their overnight surveillance footage and found images of a suspect holding what appeared to be a firearm. It is believed the suspect was in the area checking for unlocked vehicles.
