Four face charges after 'minor' stabbing in Niagara Falls

Two of the four were taken to hospital with minor injuries

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday July 25, 2021 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to a residence in the area of Sinnicks Avenue and Thorold Stone Road in the City of Niagara Falls in regard to a reported disturbance.

When officers arrived, they located four persons outside the home who had been engaged in a dispute during which an adult male was minorly stabbed. Two of the four persons were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries prior to all four being transported to Niagara Regional Police Service Prisoner Management Central Holding at NRPS Headquarters.

37-year-old Alan Wheelcok of Niagara Falls is facing the following charge:        

  • Assault with a weapon

Wheelock was held in custody prior to a bail hearing on Monday July 26, 2021

Additionally, 38-year-old Frank Messina Jr., along with 60-year-old Frank Messina Sr., both of Niagara Falls are facing the following charge:         

  • Assault

56-year-old Cathy Timco of Niagara Falls is facing the following charge:        

  • Obstruct police

Messina Jr., Messina Sr., and Timco have been released from custody to appear in court at a future date.
