A single vehicle incident occurred in the area of Allanport Rd. near Hurricane Rd at approximate 830pm on June 2.
The vehicle a 2017 Hyundai left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. Damage to the pole and the vehicle was significant.
The vehicle was driven by a 21 year old man from Thorold.
The man was not injured.
He has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with Careless Driving.
Residents reported that cable and internet were out in Port Robinson all night.
