Charges laid against St. Catharines man after five stolen vehicles recovered

In early August 2021, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), 1 District (St. Catharines) commenced an investigation into the theft of motor vehicles throughout the city. 

A coordinated effort between officers assigned to 1 District Uniform Patrol, 1 District Detective Office and 1 District Street Crime has led to the recovery of five stolen vehicles, valued collectively at $92,500 dollars.

Bradley Walsom, (34 years) of St. Catharines has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Theft of motor vehicle – Contrary to section 331.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. (Three counts)
  • Possession of stolen property – Contrary to section 355(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. (Three counts)

Walsom attended a bail hearing via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, in St. Catharines on Aug. 11, 2021.  He was remanded into custody and will re-appear via video on Aug. 13, 2021.
