7 arrested as part of firearms investigation in St. Catharines

In November of 2021, members of the 1 District Street Crime Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) began a firearms related investigation in the area of Louth Street and Nash Street, in the City of St. Catharines. 

On Nov. 23, 2021, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Emergency Task Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service executed a warrant at this location and the following items were seized:

  • Black 6 shooter Colt DA.88 revolver firearm loaded with six live rounds 
  • Six live rounds in a speed loader fitted for a 38 revolver
  • A modified (sawed off) 22. Caliber single shot rifle. The rifle was loaded with 1 live 22. Caliber round.
  • 20 live 22. Caliber ammunition rounds
  • 11 live 22. Caliber ammunition rounds
  • A Hatson Arms pump action shotgun with six live rounds
  • Eight live 12 gauge shotgun

As a result, four male suspects and three female suspects were arrested. 

Dalshan Baines (40 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following charges of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts)
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)
  • Possession of firearm, weapon or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (two counts)

Ulysses J. Alligood (30 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts)
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)

Moises Medeiros (26 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts) 
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)
  • Possession contrary to order
  • Fail to comply with release order

Christopher Redmond (35 years old) of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts) 
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)

Megan Loggie (27 years old) of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts)
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)
  • Possession contrary to order

Britteny A. Henry (29 years old) of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts) 
  • Careless storage of a firearm (three counts)

Chassidy H. Archer (21 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession (three counts) 
  • Careless Storage of a firearm (three counts)

All seven parties were held for bail and are expected to appear in court on Nov. 24, 2021. 

The investigation remains on going by members of the 1 District Street Crime Unit.
