60-year-old from Port Colborne arrested in historic sexual assaults

Police believe there may be more victims

In June of 2021, detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Service's Sexual Assault Unit (SAU) commenced an investigation into allegations of historic sexual assaults.

The investigation has revealed that between the years of 1991 and 2005, two parties under the age of 18, were allegedly sexually assaulted.

As a result of the investigation, on Sept. 8 2021, the male suspect was arrested.

Donald Pfielsticker (60 years old) of Port Colborne was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

  • Sexual assault (Four counts)
  • Sexual interference (Three counts)
  • Invitation to sexual touching (Two counts)
  • Sexual exploitation (Two counts)
  • Forcible confinement

Through the course of the investigation, detectives have reason to believe that there may be more victims.
