Mississauga, Ont., teacher arrested and charged with sexual exploitation

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — A 40-year-old teacher a high school in Mississauga, Ont., has been arrested and charged with sexual exploitation after allegedly inviting a young person to have a relationship.

Peel Regional Police say the accused asked the young person to have sexual relations with him several times between September and November of 2019, but his request was denied. 

They say the accused, who is from Guelph, Ont., was arrested and charged on Monday. 

He was later held for a bail hearing.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing. 

Investigators believe there might be other victims of the same person and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.
