Passed peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Niagara Health St. Catharines in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Anne for 67 years. Loving father of Mitchell (Jane), Kathy (Rick) McLaughlin and Karen (Mark) Knuuttila.
Proud papa to Samantha (Jay), Brad (Katherine), Cassie (Jeff), Alyssa (Larry) and Josh. Great papa to Jake, Ben and Carter. Carl is predeceased by his siblings Peter (surviving spouse Mary), Helen (Stan) Carley, his siblings-in-law Helen (Lionel) Boilard and Jim (Mary) Szpak.
Carl will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Carl and Anne loved to dance – polka and waltz mostly, but there was always music in their lives, including the music Carl played on his harmonica and clavinova. Carl spent his career at Abitibi Papermill. He enjoyed skating with the Jordan Skating Club was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 Thorold.
Friends will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held on at Lakeview Cemetery, 3651 Thorold Townline Road, Thorold at 11:30 AM.
