(Retired from Abitibi/Fraser Paper after 30 years at a stationery engineer) Peacefully, at Linhaven on Monday, September 12, 2022 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Esther (Née Ahle) for almost 63 years. Proud Dad to Kevin (Isabel), Bruce, Lyndon (Wendy), Michael (Lorianne) and Michelle (John) Riley. Special Grandpa to Kyle (Teresa), Richard, Jennifer, Tyler, John James, Rebecca, Daniel, Melanie, Andrew and Logan. Great Grandpa to Daijah, Zendaiah, Anabelle, Azariah, Maverick and Odaine. Elmer is survived by two sisters, Theresa and Greta, but predeceased by his other siblings: brothers Danny, Joe, Ritchie, Bill, Eddie and Butch, and sisters Maggie, Eileen and Clara. Uncle Elmer will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Elmer was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both fishing and hunting, who left part of his heart in Cape Breton. Relatives and friends will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held in the Lamb Chapel at 2:00 PM. Rite of Committal Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
