Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday August 22, 2022.
Cherished wife of Robin for 37 years. Dearly loved mother of Victoria and Christopher. Survived by her sister Bonnie (Pete) Russell and her brother Steve (Diane) Lewis. She is now in the company of her loving parents Kenneth and Leonore. Brenda lived to travel! First meeting Robin in Jamaica and numerous trips thereafter down south, making everlasting memories along the way. Brenda also enjoyed caring for other people’s families as a proud and dedicated Nurse providing care in the ER at Hotel Dieu for many years prior to its closing.
Before the Dieu, learning and forming lifelong friendships with her nursing buds in Montreal. Brenda’s pride and joy was her garden and enjoying the fruits of her labour at the pool swim-up bar, glass of wine in hand. Brenda also had an immense love of Golden Retrievers (Carly, Chelsea & Morgan all by her side now) and Quincy still enjoying the loving home Brenda welcomed him into from Egypt. A huge thank you to all the staff at the Niagara Health Critical Care Unit (St.Catharines Site) who took the absolute best care of Brenda in her final days.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honouring Brenda’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society or the Niagara Health Foundation.
