August 22, 1953 - March 4, 2022

Passed away peacefully at Linhaven Long Term Care on Friday, March 4, 2022 at age 68, with his family by his side.

Beloved husband and soulmate of Suzanne (née Honsberger) for 25 years. Dear and loving father to Christopher (Carrie Ann). Stepfather to Jacqueline (Craig) Paradisi, Scott Philbrick and Sean Philbrick. Grandfather to Shane Paradisi and Robbie Csordas. Dear brother to Margaret (the late Ted) Allan and David (the late Elizabeth). Predeceased by his brothers Mark and Bill and his sister Linda Walker. Brother in law to Sharon Prairie (John Nichols) and the late Patti Edmonds (Glenn). He will also be missed by his special nieces and nephews and dear friends. Many heartfelt thanks to the Linhaven staff for all their care and support and a special thanks to Larry’s niece Jodi, who, while working at Linhaven would sneak in special visits for a quick hug and shower him with love. With an incredible amount of grace, dignity and courage Larry lived with Huntington’s Disease for many years.

His positive attitude allowed him his freedom and this disease never broke his spirit. Larry worked for Canada Post for 37 years, retiring in 2008. He said he couldn’t believe they actually paid him to go out and enjoy beautiful walks every day. Larry had fond childhood memories of growing up in his Marren Street Neighborhood. He enjoyed boating and fishing, playing cards with his family, hosting poker games and trying his luck at the casino; long drives and car shows with Chris; bowling and trips with Margie; Vegas with David. He also loved the many projects at the cottage with Jacqueline and being a snowbird in Florida for many winters. Larry adored Suzanne. His love for her was utterly selfless. He lived every second to create their amazing life together and only the years of special memories will help fill the void for Suzanne. Larry will be best remembered as a sweet, kind gentleman who loved to make people laugh, gave the best hugs and had a smile that lit the room.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, March 11, 2022 between 4:00 -7 :00 PM at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at ST. JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH THOROLD, 12 Carleton Street South, Thorold at 11:00 AM.
