Peacefully at Niagara L.T.C., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday, September 2, 2022.  Jean (née Richardson), formerly of Merritton, in her 90th year.  Predeceased by her parents William V. and Elspeth K. (née Coull) Richardson and her step-mother Glen Richardson.  Dear wife of the late Frank Cirocco.  Loving mother of Frank Cirocco, Jill Cowan, Mike Cirocco (Jenny Williamson), Barb (Brian Banfield) and the late Patti Cirocco (late Bruce Cumming).  Wonderful grandma to Chris Cumming (Lauren Ackerman), Julie Cumming (Jon Grabell), Richard Cowan, Amber Cowan (Chris Armstong), Kevin Banfield (Kayla) and Bailey Banfield.  Great grandmother to Jaxton, Jazlyn and Owen.  Jean will be fondly remembered by her sister Barb (late Paul Phillips) but is predeceased by her sisters, Elsie (late Don Neelin), Pat (late Rudy Korody).  Aunt Jeannie is survived by many nieces and nephews.   Jean worked for Canadian Canners but retired from a career in Real Estate, with Century 21, in the eighties.  She enjoyed many varied activities, including oil painting, bridge, golf, cross-country skiing, curling but most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, followed by a Service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m.  Memorial donations to the Niagara Children’s Centre would be appreciated.  On-line condolences may be left at www.bocchinfusofh.com

Thank you to all of the people who helped with Jean’s care – P.S.W. Greg who was with her for more than a year before she went to Niagara L.T.C, the staff at Niagara L.T.C., special thanks to Frank Cirocco for his extra care in keeping Mom at home and safe for as long as possible, and the girls from Right at Home, who were with us during our time of crisis, especially Trish for organizing things so promptly.  Also, a special thanks to Katie from the Alzheimer’s Society for all her help through Mom’s journey.
