CAPERCHIONE, ANNIE

Surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Niagara Health St. Catharines Site, at the age of 80.  Beloved wife and best friend of the late Gaetano “Guy” for more than 58 years.  Cherished mother of twin sons Patrick and Paul (Krista) and daughter Cristina, and predeceased by her daughter Luisa.    Nonna will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Hannah and Karlie.   Dear sister of Vic (Kathy) Marchetti and Maurice (Judy) Marchetti.  Annie is predeceased by her sister Licia (Renato) Valencich and her parents Ferruccio and Natalia Marchetti.  Annie will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Annie arrived in Canada with her family when she was 10 years old.  She worked at Monarch and Packer Factories and enjoyed her later career as the “Cafeteria Lady” at Sir Winston and Lakeport Schools.  Annie was a long-time volunteer with the Club Roma Ladies Auxiliary and was part of the executive group who ran the golf tournament in support of Tender Wishes for 25 years.  She was an avid golfer herself, and a world traveler.  She was a great cook, and a loving mother who told it as it was, and her sassy spirit will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  All Covid protocols will be followed including masking, physical distancing and contact tracing.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH 21 Queen Street South at 11:00 AM, but please note that due to Covid, seating is limited.  Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery.    Memorial donations in memory of Annie can be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or Canadian Mental Health Association.   On-line condolences may be left at www.bocchinfusofh.com

Thank you to the Staff at Niagara Health St. Catharines who went over and above for our family.
