1935-2023
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rodger Beattie at Rapelje Lodge, Welland, on March 16, 2023. Devoted soulmate of 63 years to Sandra (nee Leslie). Loving father of Christine Beattie and Jon Beattie (Nanci). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Vanessa, Brittany and Grace Beattie, as well as his great grandchildren; Ryder, Aurora and Oaklee. Survived by his siblings and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elmer and Violet (nee Stevens) Beattie.
Rodger was passionate about his work. He owned and operated Beatties (Office Supply) with several locations in the Niagara Region. Currently, in good hands and owned by the original owner Lawrence Beattie’s grandson Ted Hoxie. On the rare occasions when he wasn’t working, he would spend quality time with his favourite people, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In accordance with Rodger’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara Region would be appreciated by the family.
