NIAGARA RIVER LIONS

ST. CATHARINES – The Niagara River Lions announced today the final 12-man roster that will tip-off the 2021 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season in Ottawa tomorrow. In addition to the 12 active players, Trae Bell Haynes who is currently with the Senior Men’s National Team is listed as suspended, while Phil Scrubb who is finishing his season in France is listed as inactive.
“We love this group. They are hardworking, humble, and a pleasure to coach,” said Head Coach and General Manager, Victor Raso. “I’m excited for the opportunity this group has in front of them this season, and we’re going to continue to help them reach their potential.”
The opening day roster includes four returning players, Guillaume Boucard, Kassius Robertson, Daniel Waldin-Mullings and Emmanuel Owoo-toah.
The final eight spots feature three new American players, Javin DeLaurier, Xavier Sneed, and Tyree White, as well as two Carleton Raven U SPORTS players, Lloyd Pandi and Grant Shephard. Canadians, Olu Ashaolu, Jaylen Babb-Harrison and Jake Babic round out the squad.
The River Lions start the season with four away games in Ottawa, Abbotsford, Edmonton and Saskatoon, before returning home to Meridian Centre on July 8 versus the Fraser Valley Bandits.
