Welland stretched its win streak to seven games with an 11-5 win Sunday afternoon in Hamilton.

Matteo Porcellato went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs in the win. Ethan Hunt had four hits, three runs and an RBI, Gianfranco Morello, Brandon Nicholson, Tyler Dupuis and Hogan Brown drove in a run, James Smibert had two hits and an RBI and a run.

Chris Lazar (1-2) picked up the win in relief, scattering four hits and a walk over four scoreless innings. Wyatt Hummel started and went three innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts.

For Hamilton, Jeremie Veilluex, Tyler Duncan and Jacob Underwood all had two hits and an RBI. Tristan Osika drove in two, and Sean Pettener had two hits and a run.

Jacob Gajic (2-3) took the loss, giving up five runs (four earned) on two hits in 1.2 innings. He walked four and struck out one. Aaron Duffy went the first four innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Welland improved to 21-6, and Hamilton fell to 6-21.
