Barrie snapped a four-game losing streak Thursday night by knocking off the Welland Jackfish 3-1 at Vintage Throne Stadium.

The Baycats (21-18) got all the offence they needed two batters into the game when Ryan Rijo hit his sixth home run of the season. It scored Owen Jansen, who drew a four-pitch walk. Juan Familia added an RBI single in the seventh. Adam Odd went 3-for-4.

Justin Gideon singled and added a solo home run for Welland, which slipped to 27-11 and a half game back of London for top spot in the standings.

Jake Harford (10-2) took the loss after giving up two runs on three hits over six innings. He walked three and struck out eight.
