Four Aces and Newman Electric teams score solid wins

The Thorold Atom LL2 and Peewee LL1 teams faced southern tier opponents yesterday and both scored solid victories.

The Atoms squared off agains the Welland Tigers LL2 team and played to a perfect 6-0 victory.

Ethan Lampman returned to his forward position after playing a few games on defence. The impact of his return was immediate as he scored two big goals for the Hawks. Lampman was named player of the game.

Goaltender Charlie Mallett scored an impressive tenth shut out of the season.

The LL2 Four Aces team finished the regular season with 19 wins, 5 losses and 0 ties.

Meanwhile the Peewee Newman Electric team played the Port Colborne LL1 team, scoring an 8-1 victory.

Deacon Radke was named player of the game for a solid effort throughout. Radke led by example with solid defence and tenacious backchecking. He was also pivotal in several key plays throughout the game.
