Saying “yes” to Encore paid off for Cody Ballard of Welland. He matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Dec. 25, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000!
The 38-year-old musician says he has been a regular lottery player for seven years. "I always play Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max and always add Encore," he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. "This is my first big win!"
Cody was at the store checking his tickets when he discovered his big win. "I saw the Big Winner screen and couldn't believe my eyes," he smiled. "I checked the ticket three times because it was so unbelievable. I was shocked and excited! My girlfriend was trying to keep me calm."
He plans to share his win with his girlfriend and has his eyes on a new TV.
"This is amazing. I’ve always dreamt of winning the lottery but never expected it," Cody concluded.
