Three new deaths were reported in Niagara on Thursday, as the Public Health office adjusted the death toll to 461.

The increase comes as 303 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the region on Thursday.

Following around 760 cases being listed as resolved, the number of active known cases dropped to 4,578.

215 of those cases are in Thorold, however Public Health is warning that the numbers might not be accurate due to strains on testing.

Niagara Health is currently caring for 153 Covid-positive patients, of which 104 are being primarily treated for complications from the virus.

26 people are in the ICU, of them 10 are unvaccinated.
