Last week the director of the Thorold Reed Band hinted at the possibility of an upcoming concert, and now ThoroldToday.ca can confirm the event is officially going ahead.

The Thorold Reed Band will be pairing up with the Niagara Falls Concert Band for an evening of music benefiting the Out of the Cold program, which houses and feeds those in need in the St. Catharines community.

Andrew Carruthers, who is the conductor for both the Thorold Reed Band and the Niagara Falls Concert Band, will be conducting the music, while Ken Hutton will be directing the choir of Knox Church.

The concert will be held on Wednesday, December 8, at 7.30pm, at Knox Presbyterian Church on 53 Church Street in St. Catharines. A free will offering will be taken in lieu of ticket sales. Proof of double vaccination, contact tracing and the wearing of a mask will be required.
