Roughly a year after his passing, the four-legged patron saint of Thorold Pet Valu continues to help area cats reach safe shelter.

Tigger, the former store assistant at the Pine Street Plaza store left many customers with lasting impressions as he stalked the aisles of the store before his passing in January.

Now the store has released a new issue calendar featuring the best photos of the yellow tabby with the proceeds going to two community organizations supporting homeless cats.

‘As Tigger was the face of many important fundraising campaigns, we have decided to release a very special calendar this year. For only $20 you can purchase a calendar full of Tigger’s best photos over the years. All proceeds will be going to Niagara Falls Community Cats and The Animal Assistance Society of Niagara so that they can continue their amazing work of finding homes for so many animals in need of forever families,’ Pet Valu said.

‘We’re sure that Tigger would have approved of every image as he always made sure that we captured his best angle!’

The calendar can be purchased at the store.
