The Thorold Library will be used as a warming station this weekend.

Friday and Saturday might see some colder temperatures, prompting the city to announce it will open a warming station to help those who are outside and need shelter from the winter weather to get out of the chills.

On Friday, January 14 and Saturday January 15, the Thorold Library will be accessible.

The city said those needing to get inside can do so between 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

Access is available through the Ormond St entrance.

The city reminds those considering using the library to follow public health guidelines.

Niagara could see some flurries starting Friday, with an overnight low of -15 degrees.
