The Thorold Atom BB hockey team has learned the value of giving to the less fortunate at an early age. The team delivered an overloaded shopping cart to Thorold's Community Care office yesterday afternoon. Among their collection for donation was 300 lbs. of food, clothing, gifts and $500 in cash.
Thorold's Community Care branch manager Maxine Hutchings said, "It's exciting to see such young ambassadors understanding the need in their community."
The team includes a "leadership group," including Miller Miotto, Rowan Campbell, Ryan Miller and Brayden Steele who spearheaded the initiative among the teammates.
