The Thorold Community Activities Group has released its schedule for this summer’s membership programs after having had to suspend them since December 2020.
In an update from Executive Director Dan Pelletier, shared with ThoroldToday, some new perks awaiting members were revealed
“We will be able to offer inclusive use of the City of Thorold swimming pool programs (all except youth swimming lessons); but the free swims, family swims, aquafit etc will be available to TCAG members at no added cost, Pelltier said.
Baskeball enthusiasts will also benefit from a new recruitment as three-year Brock varsity team veteran Eden Ferraro will be leading the TCAG Youth Basketball Program.
“She was hired to work as a Summer Camp Counsellor starting in July this year. Her strong performance on staff with the camp children led to her successful hiring as the basketball instructor,” Pelletier said.
Another new membership program for Floor Hockey will also be started through staffer Braedon Pushec, who has considerable experience in working with the
Special Olympics movement.
“There are of course many passionate returning TCAG Instructors as well, some with as much as fifteen years experience with us for martial arts, fitness, Zumba and yoga,” Pelletier continued, saying that the group is confident in the measures it has taken to ensure health and safety for everyone involved.
