The St Catharines Rotary club is gearing up for its annual Ribfest this weekend at the Pen Centre.

With a drive-through model, visitors to the busy shopping mall will see increased traffic, but organizers have said that they have put a lot of work into organizing the event with signage.

Normally held in Montebello Park in St Catharines, the annual event will use the all proceeds from the event to benefit community organizations, both in Canada and internationally.

Children’s programs, Hospice Niagara, Community Care and Warehouse of Hope, and Polio vaccination programs are just a few of the organizations that have benefited from the money raised. The St Catharines Rotary Club also contributes to many local projects such as the new playground development at Happy Rolph’s Farm on Read Road.

This year, Ribbers will be Uncle Sams BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ and Camp 31 BBQ.

Go to St Catharines Rotary Ribfest Facebook Page for a full menu for the event.
