Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:
St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region, Ont. (046710)

Current details: 
At 7:45 A.M. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a slow moving cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rain.

Locations impacted include:
Woodstock, Oxford Centre, and Burford, Brantford, Stoney Creek, and Grimsby.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
