Market Square Summer Social, Pathstone’s open-air, in-person event, returns to St. Catharines Market Square on June 7. All funds raised will support Pathstone’s newest site River House located in Welland.
“This event ushers in summer a little early, taking over where Pathstone’s Hope Gala once was. This Marche-style event gives guests an open-air market feel in the heart of downtown St. Catharines with great food and drink to indulge in,” says Kim Rossi, director of philanthropy and PR at Pathstone Foundation.
“Market Square Summer Social has become a guest favourite, mostly because of the casual nature of this event; you arrive when you can and take your time visiting all 18 food and drink experiences at your own pace. Guests also love that we have businesses from across the region that they can try out. MSSS continues to be a celebration of all things local and provides great exposure to our smaller businesses who add such wonderful flavour to our region.”
This year, 100 per cent of funds raised will be designated to Pathstone’s newest site. River House, located in Welland this site will be opening in May and is running solely on community donations.

Market Square Summer Social (MSSS) combines the best parts of an outdoor market experience and social event together under one ‘open-air” venue in downtown St. Catharines.
We keep the atmosphere casual.
Simply purchase your tickets online and arrive when it suits you best between 6 to 7 p.m. MSSS will close at 10 p.m. That night you will experience some of the best Niagara has to offer with 18 food and drink experiences, a live DJ and live art creation, super draw, art and photo silent auction, live magic with Matt Anthony, and a special gift for every guest, courtesy of the Pen Centre.
From March 31 to April 2, tickets are available for $99. On April 3, the tickets will return to their regular price of $135 per person.
