The owners of Papa Vince Pizza in Thorold are hoping that someone will come forward with information about the person who struck the business early Sunday morning in an apparent smash-and-grab theft.

It was at 4:18 a.m. that security cameras outside the store captured a person grabbing a rock, and smashing their way through the front door.

According to a social media post by Papa Vince, the thief did not make it away with any larger sums of money, but the incident did a number on the buildings exterior.

‘According to the police him and his driver have done a few places today. Smash and grab. I know he’ll never get caught but maybe someone might recognize something about him,’ the store said.

The security camera footage is available on Facebook.
