Update:

Dr. Yaffe says a total of 377 cases confirmed in Ontario. 6 are now resolved.

Ontario has a third COVID-19 death: A male in his 70s, in Barrie, who was "a close contact to another individual who has died."

A large proportion of cases involve either travel abroad or contact with an infected person.

Williams: The number of cases in the U.S. continues to rise quickly.

In Wuhan, China there have been "no cases reported publicly" for two days.

Testing is being ramped up in Ontario. People are working "around the clock on that."

Williams says he hopes to get to 3,000 tests a day early this week and hopes to increase testing capacity to 5,000 quickly.

Ontarians need to continue minimizing external social contacts

"Essential services are there for those who need medication, those who need food," said Williams.

Providers are taking precautions and individuals need to do the same, he said.
