If you are planning a fall makeover of your home, it might be worth paying a visit to the Pen Centre, following the planned opening of a IKEA ‘Design Studio’ at the mall.

According to the Swedish furniture manufacturer, the space will be open to browse a ‘curated collection’ of furniture, and will offer sessions with an Ikea designer, or a self-serve digital experience.

“The Design Studio is a new concept for the Canadian market that allows customers to design and order complex home furnishing systems for the kitchen, bath, bedroom and living room by scheduling one-on-one planning sessions with a trained IKEA design expert or via a self-service planning station in a dedicated studio space,” said the company in a release.

While the popular sales floors and food court will not be operating at the location, customers can place orders for their desired products right from the location, where they may be picked up at designated spots locally.

IKEA said the location will be operating between 12 and 18 months, and will be opening at the Pen Centre on October 29.

Aside from St Catharines, Brampton and London will also see similar locations open.
