Special Olympian skater Danielle Waters had her dreams come true this weekend as she joined the elite in the skating world and took part in the Rock the Rink tour.
In an earlier interview Danielle told the Thorold News that Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir were her favourites. But she also skated with renowned champions, Katelyn Osmond, Carolina Kostner, Jeremy Abbott, Tatiana Volosozhar, Elvis Stojko, and Patrick Chan at the Meridian Centre.
Her coach, Nancy Jo Gamache of Thorold, said, "They are all champion skaters from Canada and around the world. It was an unbelievable experience for both of us; they all made us feel so welcome and a part of the show."
And she added, "What a night; it was amazing. Danielle got a standing ovation!"
