COVID-19: Niagara sees drop in cases, but more hospitalized today (October 13)

Niagara Region Public Health reported a drop in local Covid-cases on Wednesday, with 10 new cases.

Following 16 new recoveries, the number of known active cases dropped to 181.

Thorold has 17 of those active cases, 42 are in St Catharines, and 31 in Niagara Falls.

The number of hospitalized patients at Niagara Health is 13, with 5 admitted to the ICU.

11 of the 13 patients are unvaccinated.

Niagara Public Health is tracking two Covid-outbreaks in health-care facilities.

Heidehof Home for the Aged and Maple Park Lodge are currently dealing with active outbreaks.
