COVID-19 in Niagara; 3 new cases, one death in the region today

NRPH reported three new cases and one death on Tuesday across the region. Following 5 recoveries, there are now 51 known active cases in Niagara.

Niagara Health is caring for five people with COVID-19, of who one is being cared for in ICU.

With no new outbreaks, the virus activity in the region appears low judging from Public Health data.

Health officials continue to stress the importance of vaccinations, as clinics continue to offer opportunities to get the jab.

Currently, 54 percent of Niagara residents are fully vaccinated.

In total, 586,011 doses have been administered.
