On Monday March 14, 2022, officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced the 2022 NRPS Spring Food Drive across the Niagara Region. The event concluded on Friday March 18, 2022.

Over the week officers collected food and cash donations at 12 grocery stores across Niagara.  The collected donations were given to nine local food banks that support all of Niagara.

The numbers are in. Officers collected 21,767 pounds of food and $12,200.16 in cash and gift card donations.

The NRPS would like to thank all the public who so graciously donated to the food drive.  A special note of thanks goes to Post Cereals Canada of Niagara Falls who donated 250 cases of cereal.

The food drive would not be possible with out the support and co-operation of the 12 grocery stores.  A thank you goes to:

“We are so very happy with the result this year. It really is a great feeling to be a part of this food drive, knowing that the donations will be going directly to support families in need in Niagara.  Giving to your local food banks doesn’t have to be just during a food drive, they are great people who are willing to take donations year-round.  Please give if you can.”
