Community Care puts out urgent call for peanut butter

Community Care is looking for people to donate peanut butter to their food bank; 'We are experiencing a high demand, and our inventory is at an all time low'

In an effort to meet an increasing demand, Community Care is looking for people to donate peanut butter to their food bank.

“Although we have had some generous donations of peanut butter in the last couple weeks, it is still not enough,” reads a statement on the organization’s Facebook page. “We are experiencing a high demand, and our inventory is at an all time low.”

Community Care has been a Niagara staple since 1919 and aims to provide food and shelter security to those in need. Many Thorold organizations and community events have long supported Community Care in their ongoing efforts.

To get your friends and loved ones to donate peanut butter Community Care shares a handy tip.

“Birthday or event coming up? Consider asking your attendees to bring some peanut butter with them!”, concludes the organization’s Facebook post.

Peanut butter and other food donations can be dropped off at Community Care's Thorold location at 19 Albert Street West, or at the St. Catharines location at 12 North Street.
