Active Covid-case count drops under 200 on Tuesday in Niagara

Among 11 hospitalized at Niagara Health is one individual under the age of 16

The active case count in Niagara dropped below 200 on Tuesday, after 29 recoveries drove the number down to 188.

15 new cases were reported.

Thorold now has 19 of the region’s active cases, with the biggest number in St Catharines and Niagara Falls.

11 patients are being cared for in hospital. 4 of those cases are in the ICU.

10 are unvaccinated, including one individual under the age of 16 who is currently hospitalized.
