Amber Alert issued for missing toddler last seen in Barrie (update: located)

Police say the three-year-old girl has been found safe and sound

Barrie Police issued a tweet around 6 a.m. that the Amber Alert is cancelled and Grace Deck has been found safe and sound. "Arrangements are being made to have her returned to Barrie and further details will be provided later this morning," wrote police.

ORIGINAL STORY

An Amber Alert has been issued by the Ontario Provincial Police Operations Centre at the request of the Barrie Police Service on Tuesday morning. 

The victim is Grace Deck, who is described as three years old and with a white complexion. She goes by the name Gracie. 

The suspect is David Cave, a 27-year-old white male. 

They were last seen in the city of Barrie. 

Anyone with information or who sees the pair is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately. 

The two were last seen Monday afternoon at approximately 2:15 p.m. in Barrie's Lampman Lane Park area.

Cave is described as five-foot-10 and 150 pounds with dirty blonde or light-brown coloured short hair and unshaven. He is wearing a dark khaki style sweatshirt with a black T-shirt underneath, khaki-style pants that are tapered at the bottom and black-coloured runners.

Gracie is described as female white, two and a half feet tall and 42 pounds with waist-length blonde hair, blue eyes and missing her front teeth. She is wearing a dark pink coloured T-shirt that says “Girls Rule” on the front, peach-coloured track pants with BENCH on one leg and clear coloured shoes that are similar to Crocs.

Police and the family of these missing persons are concerned for their well-being and anyone with information on where they may be is asked to immediately contact the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025 or their local police service by calling 911.
