Police investigating after body found in Grimsby

On Friday, November 10, 2023 at approximately 8:17am, 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Clarke Street and South Service Road, in Grimsby for a suspicious circumstances call.

Investigation revealed a body was located in this area.

Detectives from our 8 District – Grimsby office, the Forensic Services Unit and the Coroner are investigating this matter further.

There is no danger to the public.

Further details about the deceased are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of the next of kin.

Anyone that was in the area of Christie Street and Ontario Street in Grimsby, on November 9, 2023 from 9:00pm-11:00pm or anyone who has surveillance video or dash camera footage in the area,  is asked to contact detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, option 3 extension 1009528.
