Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premiere Doug Ford will be in Port Colborne today with representatives of Honda partner Asahi Kasei for a $1.6-billion electric vehicle supply chain plant announcement reports the Globe and Mail.
The Globe, citing sources with knowledge of the deal, reports that today's announcement is part of Honda's $15-billion investment in Ontario's EV supply chain.
The facility will the first lithium ion battery separator plant to be built in Canada, reports the CBC.
